County Champions
The Kent Archery Association (KAA) currently awards Champion only in the three main disciplines that our members shoot:
Please note that if a champion's name changes (for example because of marriage, divorce or deed-poll) or club changes, the name and club name will remain as it was at the time the championship title was won.
Eligibility
The title of "County Champion" is only awarded:
- at specific tournaments organised by the KAA, or run by a Kent club at their request;
- to archers who are members of the KAA at the time of the championship tournament and who indicate this on their tournament entry form;
- for certain bow styles and gender/age categories (for example in indoor target archery only a single junior champion is awarded for each recognised bow style);
- to archers who complete the whole of the required period of shooting;
- for a period of one year, or until the next such championship (whichever period is shorter).
In the unusual case that a championship tournament is unable to complete the advertised round, then a county champion will still be awarded:
- regardless that the round actually shot may not have been the round originally advertised;
- regardless that the round being shot was not completed;
- based on the score shot up to and including the last completed end of shooting, prior to abandoning the tournament;
- provided only that at least one scoring end has been completed.
